UK CLL Forum Annual Scientific Day

Gaelle VanderstichelenIn March this year, I went to London to the Annual Scientific Day organised by the UK CLL forum. This forum brings scientists and clinicians together from all around the world with the objective of giving an update on advances in research and treatments for the Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.

This year the CLL tumour microenvironment was the main subject of the seminar. I found the talks really interesting for me who work on CLL. It offered me a better understanding of the disease, new perspectives for my research project and gave me the opportunity to discuss with people working on the same research area which could help me to build a network for the future. The UK CLL forum organises seminar twice a year and the next one will be focused on the management of patients with CLL. This one will take place in London in October and I will be happy to participate again. I think it is a great opportunity for people working on CLL and, who knows, will maybe give me the possibility to present my research in future years.
